Mickey's Halloween Party Fun (and GIVEAWAY Tickets!)
Last Friday we had the chance to check out opening night of Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland and it was so much fun! Each year Disneyland adds additional features to the event that really make it a unique experience for all different types of people.
This year I really noticed a large number of dance parties with great music that had you wanting to get out there and dance with the characters! One fun one we happened by was Pirate palooza located at the outside eating area of Rancho del Zocalo. We saw Pluto rocking out dancing with toddlers and adults, it was somewhere I could have stayed all night!
There were many other dance parties and so much to catch during Mickey's Halloween Party, I think it is impossible to catch all of it! With Ghost Galaxy (Halloween overlay at Space Mountain), Haunted Mansion Holiday (Nightmare Before Christmas), Halloween Screams firework display and more treat stations than you will have time to catch (but you don't have to go to many before your bags will be full of great candy!).
One of my favorite additions (not sure if it is new or just the first time I saw it!) was the light show set to music on the Castle, my favorite was the skeletons dancing up the side of the castle, but the Heffalumps dancing around were very neat too!
Mickey's Halloween Party is the place to be for Halloween fun! Want to go? I've got two tickets to the Mickey's Halloween Party on October 9th to giveaway to a reader! It gains you entry to Disneyland at 3pm and until the event ends at 11pm!
I'll be picking a winner at 8pm Pacific time on Friday October 5th from the comments below this post (so I have time to get the tickets to you!).
Here's how to enter: Comment on this blog post telling me why you are the biggest Disneyland fan! I will count one entry per day per person, keep it original and keep it fun!

Note: My family was invited to attend the Mickey's Halloween Party to facilitate the writing of this post, but we are annual premium passholders and already LOVE Disneyland 8;o)

I love experiencing Disney through the eyes of my daughter.

This looks amazing!!!!! The creativity that comes from Disney is so inspiring! My favorite thing there is watching children enjoy the magic!
I also love Disneyland, however never been to a Halloween at Disneyland, would like to take the family and see that someday. I can't say I'm the biggest fan, but I can say I am the biggest kid going to everything that catches my eye ;)
I would love to take my daughter here!! It's so expensive and our passes expired. We love all things Disney and especially Disneyland! Would love to take my little girl for some fun before we have our next baby to make her feel special!
Disney is such a magical place! I am a huge fan because I forget all my troubles while I am there!
I love Disneyland! We have passes for our family for 6 years now. Can't image what it will feel like when we don't have passes.
My son is at the fun age where he is starting to understand the holidays. He is two years old and LOVES pumpkins! For Disney, his favorite has always been the Main Street Train, Small world and Casey Jr. It would be sooo much fun to take my husband and two year old son to trick or treat. We would have such a great time!
We love Disneyland, never done the Halloween special. Its expensive, and hard for us, Im a big fan, i.have all their movies in VHS. Lol.. I don't want to give them away. I would love to take the family and make wonderful memories for them!
This would be incredible to take my sweet boy to! He is so excited to dress up this year, and this would be an extra special thing just for him before our new lil one makes their appearance in January. :o)
I love to see my children so happy. We just got annual passes again because it truly is the happiest place on earth. We haven't ever been to Mickey's Halloween party & I would love to take my kids.
Disneyland is the one place on earth you can go and totally be transformed to a different world! I love going with my kids!
Disneyland took on a whole new meaning when I took my son for the first time. He's been twice now, and seeing Disney and the world through his eyes makes me wish I could take him everyday. It truly is magical!
I am such a fan of Disneyland! I can remember back when they had horses where Space Mountain is now (yep, I'm old) and when "Adventures through Inner Space" was the coolest ride with a date. I'd like my 4-year-old to experience all that Disneyland has to offer these days and see his face light up with the wonder of it all.

I am a momma of 4. Three boys in their late teens early 20's. I now have a 4 year old daughter. She is bringing so much joy in my life. We go to Disneyland as much as we can. Her eyes light up whenever she says a character , especially the princesses. I would love to take her to Halloween Disneyland. Actually I would be excited beyond words to take her!
I would love to be able to take my son. His third birthday is in October and I love to watch his face light up every time we have been able to afford to take him!

Our family LOVES disneyland but have never been to the halloween celebration, we'd be beyond excited to win the tickets and experience the disney magic at halloween time!!
Disneyland is the only place that makes me feel like a kid again. It is just so magical! We dont get to go often because the passes are so expensive. I would love to be able to take my son to Haloween at Disneyland. We have never been before!
Ive been going since I was a little girl, and have wanted to do everything Disney!!From being a Disney Annual passholder, to having their CC to earn "Disney Reward" dollars, so I could save those up to go on a Disney Cruise and to Disney World!! I have YET to go to Mickey's Halloween Party though, so this would be A DISNEY FIRST for me!! :)
Going to Disneyland has meant a lot to our family. It helped my son with disabilities come out of his shell a bit more and so it's a special treat for us each time we go!
Going to Disneyland always takes me back to being a kid :)
We love Disney but where not able to get passes this year for our family. I would love to be able to take the kids to this :)
My family and I love Disneyland. I have 3 children and am going through a divorce right now. I work part time and go to school at night. My children have been through a lot with this divorce already and this would be such a blessing to be able to take my children. Didneyland is a place of positivity, love, fun and allows families to make great memories that last forever. We have never been there during Halloween so this would just be so awesome to surprise my children with this adventure :)
Blessings,

I love Disneyland and I Can't wait to take my kids to this hopefully we win so that we can all experience this event this year. My daughter loves mickey mouse, Minnie mouse, and all of the princesses and she can't wait until Halloween so this would be perfect for her.
Why am I a Disneyland fan? Disney is magical! No matter how old I get when I walk through those gates I'm transported to a happy place that makes my heart smile. I love seeing it now through my children's eyes. My favorite time of year out at Disneyland is when it is decorated for fall. I love Disneyland!!

I am a big Disneyland fan because it's so much fun! I've been going there since I was a kid and now I can take my own son there and have fun all over again!

We are the biggest fans and finally got passes this year! I think it's fate because Cars Land just opened. (Just in time! My kids are huge Cars fans of the movie). Anyway, people think we're nuts that we're always there - 2-3x/month. Why not? There's so much to see and do there. We also added a monthly Mom's Morning Out when the kids are in school so we can ride "adult" rides. And also us entering this contest to go to the Halloween Party when we're always there because we love Halloween!
Such an exciting giveaway! My little guy has never been to Disneyland, so I cannot imagine the excitement on his face....it makes me smile just thinking about it! :o)
I have always wanted to go to Mickey's Halloween Party and this is the perfect year since my kids are 9 and 4! They would love love love it! I am the biggest Disneyland fan because we recently moved to South Orange County and I'm so sad we can't hear the Disneyland fireworks every night!
Growing up, we rarely went to Disneyland and I was never really a fan (too many people, high prices, hated roller coasters) but now that I have my own kids, we have gone quite a few times and I have had a total change of heart. The joy on their little faces when we walk inside is magic and I feel like I am experiencing Disneyland all over again, but this time it is a great experience!
I feel like a kid every time I walk through the gates, I have been going since I was a kid and will continue to go until I am an old man!
Disneyland is a magical place! I love going there and being transported to my childhood. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday, the combination of Disneyland and Halloween is unbeatable! Email is bokhyunyoo at msn.com. Thank you!
My 4 year old son LOVES Mickey Mouse (they are BFF's) and Halloween. In fact, he now has a stuffed Mickey dressed like Jack Skellington that he sleeps with every night. His new favorite song is, "Trick or treat, smell my feet, Mickey give me something good to eat". I would love for him to experience of all his favorites...Mickey, Jack Skellington and Chocolate (ok, the last one might be mine). Seeing Disneyland through the eyes of my own child is the most magical thing I have ever done, thank you for the chance to do it again! juliecaris at yahoo dot com
Every time I go back to Disneyland, I really do feel like a kid...like seeing Disney for the very first time. I think that only happens when you are the biggest fan ever!
#2 entry for 10/02: I am a big Disneyland fan because they do such a wonderful job with the characters, the landscaping, the rides, and everything else! It's a magical place.

I love the way Disneyland makes me feel...like a kid again! I dont get to take my son very often becuase it is so expensive. Sometimes I think I am more excited to go than my son. I get so giddy because Disneyland is so magical. I could go on Pirates and Indiana Jones 20 times in a row if I could. I have never been during Halloween. I bet the Haunted Mansion is spooktacular!
desertbunny181@yahoo.com
I am a huge Disneyland fan because I make custom Minnie Mouse shirts for my daughter when we go to Disneyland!
I'm the biggest disney fan because each time we go we have to stop by for a visit we have to walk through the castle. It's kind of a tradition to at least walk through it once a trip :)
I am the biggest fan because although I have 7 kids that range from 5 to 27 I am the one that gets the happiest when I visit! I have to do certain shows and parades. My favorite of all time Captain EO, I always come out of there dancing and singing! <3 it!
I am the biggest fan because I pretty much grew up inside the park. Growing up in OC it was like my second home. And although I'm no longer a kid I still love to go!
I am the biggest fan. I love Disney movies, and see them at the theater on grand openings! I love Fantasia Mickey and Brave's Merida the most! My daughter loves Rapunzel. Seeing them at the park is always a thrill!
caseylynnmiller@hotmail.com
I admit it. I'm not the biggest Disneyland fan. I'm actually the smallest. (At a whopping 4'9"!)
Just kidding! I have been going to Disneyland since I was a little girl, I worked there for a couple years, and I STILL feel the magic every time I go. I'm dying to take my son for the first time and this would be a great opportunity.
I am a huge Disneyland fan. We have made it a tradition every year to go for our birthdays. We love it and the kids always look forward to it. And of course we always go during the Halloween and Christmas season to see all the great decorations.
I LOVE Disneyland! I have twin girls who are 15 months old and they are already Disney Fans too! One of their first words was "Minnie." I would love to take them to Mickey's Halloween Party for the first time!!
My family loves Disneyland! It is such a magical place that brings back childhood memories and creates new ones!
Susie@baxterco.com
I am a Disneyland fan because it contains the characters that keep my children's imaginations alive!
Disneyland is simply magical to me. I went many times as an adult, but last year visited for the first time as a parent. My kid loves it as much as I do and I'm thrilled to share the experience with her.
I am one of the biggest fans because I love how Disneyland puts that magical look on my daughters face. We had passes for many years, but this year we sacrificed our passes so we could afford a Disney cruise! We are really missing Disneyland!
Webuy passes every year and i have well over 100+ visits. I have never been to a halloween party though. T00 expensive.

I am the biggest fan because I have been going to Disneyland since I was 3 years old and have taken my son since he was a baby! I love being able to experience it again and again as a kid and a mom!
Oh, how I love Disneyland. It truly is a magical place. I especially love the holidays there. We were there last week and I was so giddy about going in the Haunted Mansion and seeing it all dressed up as the Nightmare Before Christmas. Love, love the decorations. We haven't made it to Mickey's Halloween Party yet and I would love to surprise my kidlets with tickets. It would make their whole year!!
Not to brag or anything, but I am totally the biggest Disney fan. I am a complete child when it comes to anything Disney but my favorite is the Nightmare Before Christmas, of course! I can't even fully explain my fascination with all things Disney but as I'm getting ready for a baby girl, I know I'm going to instill the same love in her. I have not been to Mickey's Halloween Party which seems silly as Halloween also happens to be my favorite holiday, but I would love to go before baby comes and then again after she's here so she can get lost in the world of Disney magic with me! :)
Disneyland is totally magical, I love Halloween and Christmas time there because it is decorated so beautifully and the park looks amazing!
I haven't been there in at least a year but I have lots of fond memories with my kids there which makes me a big fan!
I really am not a HUGE Disney fun. It's super fun, but I'm not obsessed. My soon-to-be-3-year-old *is* in fact the biggest Mickey maniac around though. He follows me around asking to watch his show and squeals with delight every time he sees him. My son's birhday is this Sunday (10/07) and I can think of no better gift for him :)
I'm the biggest Disneyland fan because I make my husband go to Disneyland with us every single time he has a day off from work!
I am the biggest Disneyland fan because when my husband got an offer for a new position in his company, we were going to have to move. I vetoed all the other places until he said Southern California. Wait, what? I said, "Well, if we can be close to Disneyland, then I'll go there"! Sure enough, we are now Sounthern Californians and verified Disneyland addicts...I just can't get enough.
I am the biggest DL fan because we love everything Disney from the toys to the movies to the parks. This family loves DL so much that we're even going to Florida to compare parks this Jan. That and I get to run the Goofy Marathon. Anything for Disney!!!!
I love Disneyland & am a big fan because they're one of the only places to carry the delicious Dole Whip :)
I am the biggest Disneyland fan because I'm entering this contest every day!!
I am the biggest disney fan because I have spent the last 3 days scouring the interenet for deals to take my mini Disney fans to see Mickey!
My son would love Halloween at Disneyland! so would I too. Disneyland is so magical and makes me feel like a kid again. I would rather go to Disneyland than any other Southern California theme park. I heard that the castle looks amazing at night.

Dineylandhas provided my family with so much happiness. We'd love to experince this, too.
Dmoretti1967 at yahoo.com
I am the biggest fan biggest i have an album on facebook dedicated to only Disneyland pictures! Every time w go our mission is to take a picture with everyone and everything that makes Disney so magical!
i love disneyland mostly for the people watching - and the nostalgia! we have knots passes this year to save a buck, but i love me some disneyland!
i am an annual passholder, went to Disney for every major life event (except the birth of my daughter) and its my 2 year olds favorite place too

I am the biggest Disney fan - growing up in Southern California, how could you not be a huge fan of Disneyland and all things Disney. I now have two kids and it just makes you discover new ways to love more Disney.
I'm the biggest fan because I once visited the park & got on Space Mountain over a dozen times throughout the day. I got lucky, it was a slow-ish day :)
I'm the biggest fan because I've been on every single ride in both parks!
I think a trip to Disneyland during Halloween would be Spooktacular. Everytime I hear "Its Halloween time" commercial I get so excited. I would love to take my son to Mickey's Halloween party. That wouls be such a treat to do something special with him before I gove birth to my twins later this year.
desertbunny181@yahoo.com
I am the biggest fan because I talk about going to Disneyland to everyone i know! I eat, breathe and dream Disney! Even with a family of 9 we are able to budget for Disneyland! This is a must for our family!!! But I've never had the chance to attend Mickey's Halloween Party, and for a hardcore fan like myself, that's really sad! Help me achieve my dream of attending this fabulous party!!! :D Sincerely yours, Disneys Biggest Fan
Ileana <3
I may not be the biggest Disney fan, but my son is. He named our pets Disney characters: Nemo and Marlin (goldfishes), Crush and Squirt (turtles).
I LOVE Disneyland. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I just love being there. I love the smells and the sounds and the smiles on my kids faces. There is nothing better than coming around the corner and seeing the castle then skipping down Main Street holding hands with your precious little ones! I am not ashamed to say I still get choked up everytime I see my son hug Mickey Mouse or squeal in delight when he saw Peter Pan for the first time. I just love the feeling I get when I walk into the Happiest Place on Earth...no matter when, rain or shine, crowded or not, it just feels right. We have never been to the Halloween Party and would love the opportunity. juliecaris@yahoo.com
I am the biggest fan of Disneyland because I am mom to 5 girls. Five girls who have always loved going and my oldest is now 23, so you can see how long we have been going. My youngest now 5 is the one that loves going the most and would love to go for Halloween, she's never been there during this holiday and she would love it!
smashbravo@gmail.com
Huge fans ... All our brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and grandkids have passes. Disneyland is our get together place several times a month. It's our home away from home! ;)
DD is the biggest fan and what parent doesn't want to make their kids happy. Also my husband is a BIG Halloween fan, so combine Disneyland and Halloween and I have a happy family!
This would be the ultimate treat for my lil guy.... fingers crossed!
we are fans of disney have never been in halloween or xmas but i wont tell you a sad story but this is reall and will make it as short as I can my 15 year daughter had a kidney falure we had promise after she got out of hospital go to disney and have a good time 2 weeks later she had stroke, fell in comma for 2 months keep telling her in her ear that she had to come back to me we need it disney she had promise when she woke up the fist thing she said was we are going to disney mom !! its been 3 years and have been hard but good kidney transplant and trying to do better each day but still no job and its been hard just would love to give her a good evening and forget about all other stress !!
We are totally Disney freaks. My parents make the trek out from Utah every year and we have to go to Disney. My house is decorated in Disney for every season!
My wife and kids are crazy for Disneyland. This year my wife is even making my daughter a handmade Merida wig for her Halloween costume. Crazy.
My family and I go so often that my friends and family say we should just rent out Mickey's place in Toon Town. Love Disneyland so much that I even volunteer there for their marathon events!
My son would love Halloween at Disneyland! so would I too. Disneyland is so magical and makes me feel like a kid again. I would rather go to Disneyland than any other Southern California theme park. I heard that the castle looks amazing at night.
desertbunny181@yahoo.com
I'm the biggest Disneyland fan because it takes you to fantasyland in real life!
holamom2 at gmail dot com
I am the biggest fan because although I'm 34 i am still young at heart! I budget for annuals every year even if we have to offset the debt with weekly baked sales, yard sales or whatever it takes! I plan all birthday around making it the birthday celebration at the plaza inn and the makeover at he boutique. I love Disneyland, I couldn't imagine not having it as part of our celebrations.
I am the biggest Disney fan because I can name all Seven Dwarfs.
I am the biggest Disneyland fan because every time I go, I find something else magical to experience and it never gets old. I have found memories visiting as a child, teenager, adult and now as a parent. Nothing beats seeing Disneyland through the eyes of a newly trained Jedi, charming little prince, a boy who never wants to grow up or a little one meeting his favorite character for the first time. Thank you!
