Surfing? Yeah... No thanks.
Ummm... yeah. This is one reason you won't find me surfing out in the Pacific Ocean. In a wave pool, maybe, but after this video taken off the coast of San Onofre Beach, CA it is clear I will never become an ocean surfer.

Oh my gosh! We just finished watching Shark Week and it freaked us out! Last summer, my brother-in-law and I swam across Mission Bay in San Diego without telling my husband (we said we were only going out to the buoy). He couldn't see us anmor and called the Coast Guard. Oops! Little embarrassing being tracked down by a life guard while walking back.

My boys recently went fishing off the San Clemente Pier. One of the fishermen that had propped his pole against the railing (like most do...as there is rarely anything large enough to pull it over)lost his pole. Something bit, yanked the pole ...which dragged across the pier then up over the railing, across the water then completely down UNDER water. Everyone was shocked! They are pretty sure it was a large shark. Yikes!
