Snails, Worms and Snakes- A Moment of Reflection
As I frantically reached for my iPhone to snap this picture (our first real rainy day here in Orange County, CA)... it struck me how much my life has changed in the last decade. As a little girl growing up I was known for wearing my favorite Minnie Mouse dress just because and I think I wore the same princess gown for many Halloweens in a row...
Now my life is full of the quest for snails, snakes, roller coasters and other adventures. I wouldn't change it for the world!

Great picture! I'd say life as a mom has released the kid in me I didn't even realize was there. I'm so grateful these days to have an excuse to be silly, get dirty & play for no reason!
Yes, worms, snails, mud, tractors anything that isn't pink related fills my world these days.

The picture is very profound for me especially since my boys are 18 and 20. Life is definitely a storm and time flies by but we all must let the things as simple as snails stop us in our tracks and remind us to slow down and reflect. I am fortunate to be surrounded by elementary students to keep me grounded!
