Run, don't walk to the Lime Truck when it's in your area...

I don't consider myself a "Foodie" by any stretch of the imagination.  I do love delicious food and if you can pair that with creativity, then I am all for it.  And if that is the description of a "Foodie", well then sure, but I'm just an insanely busy Mom who spends most of my days at the mercy of convenience...

When I saw that I was going to be in the area of one of the local food trucks, The Lime Truck, which is going to be at the OC Foodie Fest I posted about last week... I knew I had to make time to check it out.

There really aren't words to describe how absolutely amazing the food was.  Really.  I wish I could send samples out to each and every one of you!  I had a brie, cranberry, grilled chicken and pesto panini with a sour grape limeade fresh drink.  One of my boys had the parmesan fries with (I don't know what it was, but I would have eaten it by the spoonful) dip and my other son got a super delicious taco. Seriously I'm already trying to figure out how I can stalk the truck every day for lunch.  The boys loved their lunches too (and it was their first "Food Truck" experience, which they thought was pretty cool).  The prices were amazing (I got the three lunches & drinks for less than $20).  I also love that the truck accepts Visa/Debit so you don't have to worry about bringing cash, not all trucks do this.

The Lime Truck prides themselves on serving only the healthiest foods and that was clear from first glance at the menu, this is directly from their website:
We use only the best ingredients for our lunch menu, nothing frozen, ever. We spend tons of money to make sure that we use the best possible bacon with no nitrates or nitrites. The kurobuta pork we use is the highest possible grade, celebrating an old world breed, the berkshire pig. We make sure that our chicken is all natural and organic. The vegetables we use are organic and local whenever possible.
The line-up grew fast outside the office they were set-up at, so my recommendation would be to arrive at the beginning so you don't have to wait in a line (unless you want to browse the foods other people order to decide what you want for the day).  Be aware the menu changes daily, but I'm pretty sure you can find something delicious without much effort!

To find out where The Lime Truck will be you can follow them on Twitter, Facebook or check their website here.  Want the truck to make a stop at your office?  Give them a call or send them an email to set it up!

Sounds delicious. Hope they come to my neighborhood very soon! I am following them on Facebook now.

We don't have many food trucks in my town. I'm sure they have them in Chicago, but that's still 2 hours away from me. I've heard about the Kogi truck on TV, and I watched the great food truck race with the Nom Nom truck. I'd love to try eating at either of them! I'll have to add Lime to my list of reasons I want to move back to California.
